"Physically disabled people are rarely touched in a loving way or thought of as sexually beings. Yet they have the same need for a sexual life as everyone else. John Blades, who has a major disability himself, talks to sex workers about why they work with disabled clients and the importance of touch to every human being. Note: mature subject matter." I listened to this radio documentary that was aired on our CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) Radio One station on the 21st and I listened non-judgementally and compassionately. While the views expressed in this documentary aren't necessarily my own personal views, I thought it worth the listen and worthwhile to post the link below to give others the opportunity to hear it, as well.
This documentary is a sensitive exploration of how some disabled people will opt to navigate and explore their sexuality with sex workers.
It was aired on the CBC Radio One program Global Perspectives, on July 21st, 2011.
