Thanks Philosopher.
It'll be awhile yet, but it's starting to take shape.

The How To page is coming along really well. Love when you show us how you actually do it must take a long time to finish, I would not have the patience for doing anything like that.
What does Embed actually mean? I think it means to surround something, like a document or anything similiar, but not sure when it comes to computer terms. Thanks for your helpLooking Good.

Thanks Dixie. This part is sort of the artistic part. Kind of like designing a building before you build it. You want it to look nice, but be functional too.
After that's done you write the code that tells the browser what to display and what to do when a user clicks here or there.
If you right click on a Carbonet page (not where there's an image or a link... like the margin on either side is a good spot) Then left click on "View Source", a popup window will come up that shows the code the browser uses to run the page.
Some of that is exactly as the coder wrote it, and some is the HTML translation of other coding languages. You get more functionality out of some languages than others, but the browser in conjunction with the server, for display purposes, converts what it needs to HTML.
Yup, embedding is placing something in something else. In this case it's about embedding a Youtube video into Carbonet. Carbonet isn't actually playing the video, Youtube is. We're actually using Youtube's bandwidth which costs money. It's a trade off for Youtube, they get the exposure.
When you upload something, like an image, that goes to Carbonet's server.
The videos on Carbonet's "Video Page" are also on Carbonet's server. Those take up bandwidth, but I have more control over size and quality. That's why you don't see Youtube on the videos on that page.
Yup, it does take awhile to get a page set up. Design, coding, and then uploading that all to the server. Everything gets put into files so the browsers know where to look for what they need to run the page.
