Who would like to join me on a walk?

Yup! You walk where you are and I'll walk here-- report back to let me know how far you walked/jogged/indoor walked/indoor biked/etc. -- maybe we can spur one another on to higher fitness levels.

I promise you I will be outside walking by 2:45pm my time -- I have 7 minutes to get outside, see you in a while--

It's raining out, so I just went up and down my basement stairs 5 times.
There wasn't much to see along they way.... Just walls and the concrete basement floor.

Maybe I should get one of those virtual reality helmets with outdoor scenes.

Oh-- the wood, that's how this all began. Ha!

I don't know.
Words of wisdom just pop out sometimes.

(...How did I get on to all of that?... Not sure, la!)

Well, we took our woodstove out, got a propane stove (no gas hook-up available yet along our cottage country road), and have enough soft wood to burn down by the river, so essentially we have no use for our wood now either.

We did think of selling it, but there are enough people who need it so why not give it away?

The Scriptures teach to not fully take every last bit of grain out of a field nor to harvest every last grape, etc., so that the poorer among us can glean through the fields to have something to survive upon.

I agree with that-- we do give a lot to others, especially to those in third world conditions, but also locally.

My parents are THE best example of anyone I know of people who give so generously to others-- even while they were in Florida, they let local friends in missions live in their home. (Though my parents would prefer for it to be empty, so they don't view it as a 'house-sitting venture'.)

By that I mean that they would actually prefer to house these friends, but not for the sake of 'having someone in the house'.

In the faith community where we live, we all help each other out and not just people of faith either.
It's how we live-- and it's MUCH more fun to live that way!

You actually have a use for yours. I really don't. I found a piece of mortar in the fireplace, so I don't trust using it. Depending on where the mortar came from, it's possible that an ember could get through and into the wall or eaves. That wouldn't be good.
So, I really do need to just get rid of it, and free seems to be the best way to do that. Sure, it was a lot of work, but if I can't use it, I can't use it.

That's generous of you --- we gave away wood to friends doing missions work and to the guy who filled our propane tank--

Nope.... I'm giving it away. That's a pretty good buy.
Have a good walk.

Great! Are you selling the wood then?

I'm going to head out now for a walk-- it's sunny & I've been lazing about on the computer.

I've been doing some Scripture reading too.

BUt got to get OUTSIDE!!

!!!!!!!

That is a good walk.
Next week we're supposed to dry out here and get some sun.
I think the jet stream is keeping our warmer weather from reaching you, but that should change soon.
While out shopping the other day, I think I finally found someone to take my firewood off my hands. He seemed really interested. He said he just needs to find a truck to use. He thought maybe his dads. I'm sure he'll wait till the temps stay above freezing day and night so he doesn't have to contend with logs frozen together.
If he takes it, that'll be one less worry.

I got in that walk yesterday in a nearby city to the south-- there was no snow there, songbirds twittering happily about, and I walked for a good half an hour, yahoo!

Bummer... I don't like complications either.
Maybe tomorrow.
It was really dark and rainy most of the day here.
But... That will make stuff grow.

Good on ya, K!!

BUT ...

I got side-tracked with preparations for this friend's birthday party here-- from the get-go the phone rang, had to tend to a few things, and, well, I got pretty frustrated with a few circumstances-- *grrrr* ...
... but I'm getting over it.

(I didn't start my day off with Yeshua & it was very telling-- I plan to get that walk in tomorrow instead.
It will be busy, but I'll give it a shot.)

I would as soon as my annoying cold is over.
Enjoy your walk. It is sunny but, cold today.

I did get out for a good walk yesterday in a neighbouring city over an hour and a half to the south of us here, it was a delight to get away from the snow and to hear a few songbirds.

I had to get ready for this birthday party for a friend & got side-tracked with some unexpected work--

But I will make a good effort to get my walk in tomorrow, instead.
