Do you think that the unpredictability of Quantum Mechanics is a clearer picture of the Universe and reality?

This is a strange description of things. It sounds like what they think is that most things if, not all are not predictable.

Read study.

That's kind of what they're saying.
Quantum Mechanics shows that we can't precisely predict outcomes.

Determinists believe that if you knew the exact configuration of everything in the Universe, at any given time, you could precisely predict the future... including the decisions one makes. Thus eliminating free will.
Quantum mechanics shows us that that just isn't true.

A couple of years back I had a discussion with a Determinist on Fluther.
He didn't understand then, and probably doesn't now.

Determinism was disproved several years ago due to discoveries in quantum mechanics.
Still, the philosophy persists... amazing.

I'm sure there are many undiagnosed "high functioning" autistic people working in specialized fields.
I know a guy that is a wiz at mathematics, but was surprised to learn as an adult, after owning a car himself for quite awhile, that car batteries get old and have to be replaced.
Most of us absorb that kind of information from our environment as children.
Obviously, my friend has a tuner that is more narrowly focused.
The input has to be much more direct for him to retain the information.... as in reading a book, or watching an educational program, or listening to a lecture.
Everyday things sort of zip right by unnoticed, or without sticking.

The odd thing is that it takes someone a bit eccentric. I have know some very high functioning autistic/aspergers people that I think have the potential. Unfortunately most of them are not social enough to receive funding for research or a position of power.
I have spoken to people like this on autism sites and; some took the time to answer some of my questions about my son. I often wish I had a very high functioning person to help my son all the time. Some of them are truly geniuses. Some can easily explain many of my son's feelings and behaviors. They have experienced similar sensations to his. They all have sensory issues and dislike noise that is out of tune. They love music and tuning out some parts of our world. This I think we all crave.
My son is so bright but can not comprehend concepts normal type people assume everyones gets. Like why we work, read and much more. My son comprehends what he can touch, feel and do. He will do Academics because he wishes to please me and hear that he did well. He wants positive Reinforcement music, verbal and edible.
Autistic people perceive our world differently. They become fixated on what matters to them. They can tune everything else's out and concentrate on their goal. Especially high functioning autistic people. Some autistic people believe Einstein was on the high end of the autistic spectrum. I think they have reasons to believe he was.

Autistic people think in visual terms. High functioning autistic people can visualize and design well. Dr. Temple Grandin does this. I wonder about this.
I think they should higher some to work at CERN. LOL they are probably there.
Happy Wednesday Karven.

Yeah... we do.
Einstein had that rare combination of a super intellect and a super imagination.

Yes Karven I know about Enstein's struggle till his dying day. We need someone has brilliant as him now.

I kind of like the idea that everything is sort of up in the air and we're not sure where they'll land.
It's like a grab bag full of surprises.
If they ever stop pulling surprises out of the bag, it'd get boring real quick.
I'm even comfortable with everything not really being what it appears to be. To me that's interesting, not scarey.
Don't feel alone though, quantum mechanics made Einstein uncomfortable too.
He's the one that said "God doesn't play dice with the Universe". He wanted more predictability too.
He didn't like quantum entanglement either... called it "spooky".
He spent the last 30 years of his life being confused about quantum mechanics.

Happy Tuesday.

It really does sound bizarre and a little scary. Sometimes it feel like our reality is slipping away.
I admit Karven this makes me a bit uncomfortable.
I never believed that all of life was predetermined. That sounds like some type of religionists nonsense or an Unscientific Philosophy.
I still feel the need to know what reality is and it seems we all have a distorted view.
Maybe in our own living room we are separated from other dimensions where other Kraven's and Philospher's live their lifes but; we can not see them. We are separated by a dimension. Maybe we are but one tiny bubble in the Multiverse. This makes my head spin. I never sat through a whole Fringe but I saw some of it. They extrapolate on some of this.
I would prefer a show based more on Scientific possiblities and less intense drama.
I have read about M Theory and it sounds logical.
Happy Tuesday karven.
