It sounds like they're close to being able to do just that.
That's good news. Cataracts are very common. Especially in seniors.
Fortunately, the surgery to remove them is pretty routine and successful.
My mother had hers removed when she was in her 80s without any difficulty.
Although, she hated doctors so that she refused to have the other eye done.
She figured now that she could see great with that one eye, the heck with dealing with the doctors again.

I will. Thanks. I'll wait until I have symptoms that could impair my driving or some such.

You should only have surgery when it is needed. It has risk. Ginvinovazzo’s was a disaster. Koser feels since I had no blurry I should not have had it.

That seems odd to me, considering the cataract surgery and macular surgery are on opposite ends of the eye, but I'm no Dr.
I suspect I'll have to get cataract surgery in a couple of years or so. My Dr. at my last exam said they were just getting started.

My retina doctor does not want me to have cataract surgrey on my other eye. The first cataract grew after the macular surgrey. I needed it.
My doctor said the cataract in my other is small and despite the doctor who did the cataract surgrey recommending the cataract surgrey it unnecessary and a bad idea. It could promote a macular hole.
