Do we need a "How To" page?

I should have made one a long time ago.

It'll be a page that has instructions for uploading pictures and videos.

I made the header for the page tonight.

Here's how that's starting to look.

It has a transparent background so it'll work over any color or design and still cast the shadows.

Well, I think I'm done with the header.

I made CGI 3D models of all the components so it would look more like a photo of real objects.

After I finish designing the page I can get started on the links and instructions.

Here's how the header looks now.
It's sort of a "Self Help" theme.

It'll be bigger on the "How To" page.

I think thats a Great Idea, Kraven--go for it!! Will help many members who do not know how it is done.. When I first started using a computer, everything was so hard to understand!! But as time went on I finally figured it out, On My Own..

I do Not know very much about other features, but I know a few basic things, posting pictures, & easy things like it. You are Very good at what you do, wish I knew 1/10 of what you do! Maybe some day I will try and figure out a few other thing, but I really don't need to know-would be nice to learn how though.

Yup... It takes time and trial and error to figure things out.
Hopefully the How To Pages will mean fewer trials and errors.

That is an excellent idea Karven.

I finished the header and put it in an answer above.
On the "How To" page it'll be a lot larger.

I plan on having a picture for each step, so even if someone has trouble with English they should be able to follow the steps.
It'll take me awhile to get it all set up.
When I do, let me know if you think of something that would make it better.
I'll do pictures first; then if there are changes to be made I can do that before I make the page for videos.

I agree because I know that feeling well.
Many years ago when I was working in Provider Relations. The person who wrote the manuals asked me to review her updates. I honestly asked if, there were a way to simplify instructions? In other words use simpler language. If she had a gun she may have shot me.
She asked for my help but did not want it.
I know your won't make things overly complex as she did.
LOL she said, with a stern face that is how Manuel's are written.
I had the job of helping Providers who barely understood simple language. They were all educated but English was not everyones native language.
She was a mature women and I was young. I thought she was nice. Until I had the nerve to tell the truth.
Helping Providers takes patience because they assume they know and are wrong 90% of the time. They don't read manuels or call until after their claims are denied.

Thanks Philosopher.
I'll set it up so the page opens separately. That way people can toggle back and forth from the page they're posting on, and the directions... checking the directions as they go.
I'll have pictures with arrows that coincide with the written directions as well.

I hate reading a bunch of directions and then trying to remember everything. It's better when you can check them as you go.
