They've been caught with blood on their hands more times than I can count.
And thanks to their power and influence, the penalties aren't equal to the crime, so they continue the behavior because it's profitable to do so, whether they get caught doing something unethical and or illegal or not.
In my view, in terms of ethics, they're on a par with chemical companies like Monsanto.
I agree somewhat with Robin Cook. I'm paraphrasing, but he once said: "The good pharmaceutical companies do is almost incidental in their pursuit of wealth and power."
I really wish they would have been kept off TV. Practically every other ad is a drug pushing ad. "Ask your Dr. if such and such is right for you."
Then those ads are followed by ambulance chasing lawyers promising riches for suing those same drug companies for the harm their "such and such" drug caused.
Thanks to all those ads, we've become a nation of addicts.
