Would you like to see some cool Science photographs?

My favorite is the picture of what an exoplanet might look like. Scientist think that some moons may have life. Eventually they will figure out that a planet or moon supports life.
They are so far away I am unsure exactly how they know.
If they think that sentient life exist there what would they do? Can they send a Rover like Curiosity? Would it reach their in 100 years or more? Does Darpa/Nasa have away to get there being developed?
I wonder how they can know if, there are the building blocks for life, primitive life or sentient life?
I heard that Darpa is getting Scientist to work on away to reach further into our Universe. I think I previously posted about this.
What also fascinates me is the concept of using antimatter to propel a ship and possibly creating something like warp drive. Science Fiction inspirer's Scientist and every day more Scfi becomes Science.
See link.

Good pics.
Yeah, it's fun imagining what's out there and where.
As for sentient life, I think it'll be pretty hard to make a determination without some sort of signal; at least with today's technology.
There may come a time when we'll be able to detect light patterns emanating from a moon or planet... Patterns that wouldn't appear in nature.
Light might even tell us if there are "unnatural" pollutants in an atmosphere.
I'm guessing there are going to be a lot of "maybes" before we get a "probably".
I'm confident that ultimately we'll detect an intelligently produced signal. A communication that wasn't intended for us.
It would be fun to be there when they try to decipher such a signal.
It could be a radio or television broadcast, or a planet calling out into the darkness asking "Is anyone out there?"
Someday we'll pick up that call.

Yup.
If technology matures and we don't.... Trouble.

All we have to do is survive long enough.

Maybe not,but look how fast we went from this..

To this...

Advancements grow exponentially because each advance opens the doors to several others.
In a sense, technology helps to create itself.
Like a child, once born, it won't be held back. Baby steps at first, then leaps and bounds.
I think we are currently moving into the leaps and bounds stage of development.

I think that is true but with todays technology we will not be able to go there.
